In order to open or launch the Emulator, you need to press the F5 button. The Emulator will load the program you currently have kept open in Visual Studio.

It gives the same feel as using your phone. It has the same buttons as on the phone (only virtual). You will be able to see a Start button, Search button, and a Back button. However, you need to note that it is not possible to pan or zoom on your PC, unless you are using a modern multi touch system.

Apart from all these features, Windows Phone Emulator also provides GPS simulation. One of the best features about the program is the fact that it allows you to see how a website appears on Windows Phone.
