Editing A Picture In Microsoft Paint

Microsoft Paint is generally used to create simple drawings, but it can also be used to edit pictures. With the help of the Paint software, users will be able to crop pictures, edit their colors, draw objects inside the pictures, or add text inside them. Instructions

  • Turn on the computer and click on the Start button. From the Start menu, select All Programs, go to Accessories and then Paint. The Start button is located on the extreme left hand corner of the screen.

Edit colors

This option allows you to select the color from the color palette, which is located in the bottom left hand corner. You can use the various tools to apply colors to the selected picture or you may select default objects like squares or rectangles.

Select areas

Choose the Free Form Select and Select tools and then drag on the picture to select parts of it. You may now crop out these elements after choosing Edit – Cut.

Add text

Select the Text tool and then click and drag on the image to make a text box. In the text box, you can enter and format text.

Draw objects

Choose the Rectangle, Polygon, Rounded Rectangle, or Ellipse tool and then click and drag on the pictures to draw objects.

Modify the image
There are commands in the Image menu. You can make use of these commands to change the colors and stretch out, flip around or change the size of the picture.

  • To Save the picture, select File and then Save. To Print it, select File and then Print and to Send it through email, select File and choose Send to send it by e-mail.

  • Click on the Outgoing Server tab and check the box for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. You should select the option to use the same settings as your incoming mail server. Click on the Advanced Tab to display the encryption settings for your incoming and outgoing servers.
  • You would notice that when you check the boxes, the port numbers automatically change to 993 for IMAP and 25 for SMTP.
  • Now, in the Folders section, enter the Root folder path, ~/Mail/. Click OK when you have finished entering the information, and you will be redirected to the Add New Account box. Now, click Finish.
  • Once you have started Outlook, you can view your mail folders from the mail pane on the left. Locate the group of folders corresponding to the name you gave to this account.
