  • Turn on the PC and press the key F2 or Del to open the BIOS Settings.
  • Here, select the option Boot and then make your DVD/CD drive as the first boot priority.
  • Open the DVD/CD Drive and place the Windows 8 DVD in the drive.
  • Restart the PC.
  • The Windows 8 installation screen should come up automatically. However, if you do not see this screen, double-click and open the Setup File.
  • Choose the option Go Online to Install Updates Now (Recommended) and click the button Next.
  • Type the Product Key in the specified field and select the button Next.
  • Choose the option Install.
  • The next window will show the various options you have chosen. You can alter these choices by selecting the link Change Selection.
  • Once you click the Install button, the installation process begins and this could last for several minutes.
  • Your computer would restart many times during the process.
  • You will see the message Press any key to boot from CD or DVD during the installation process. This occurs during the restart and therefore, you need not press any key and the operating system would continue the installation by itself.
  • You may choose a background color and then select the Next button.
  • Choose the option Use Express Settings. This setting will ensure the installation of drivers, turn on security features, enables you to share files etc.
  • Keep in mind that you do have the option to Customize the installation process. Here, you can choose the settings and enable the features you like to see on the computer.
  • When the installation is over, you will be taken to the Start screen of the operating system.
