Regain Access of Your Account

The Windows Live mail commonly known as Windows Live Hotmail or just Hotmail is an email client developed by Microsoft. The email service is part of Microsoft’s Windows Live suite and is can be accessed using Apple iPhones. The email account is password protected and cannot be accessed otherwise. However, if you have forgotten your password you can access your account by answering a secret security question. 1. Open the web browser and access the Hotmail web page. There are you will see empty fields where you must type in your Hotmail email address and password. The Hotmail address must be entered in the space titled Windows Live ID.

4. Select the radio button, which is adjacent to the line Send password reset instructions to me in e-mail and then click on the Continue button again. This will open up another set of options on your screen.
5. When you initially set up the email account on Hotmail you were required to provide an alternative email account. So select the       radio button next to this email address and then press Continue. Now Hotmail will send a set of instruction to reset your password and secret question and answer. Now open your other account and follow the simple instructions sent to regain access of your Windows Live mail account.

  • Switch on your system and log into your admin account.
  • Open Internet Explorer on your device. Click on the Start icon. You will find the Start icon placed in to the bottom left corner of the start screen. From the Start menu pop up, select the label that reads All Programs. From the All Programs sub menu, select the label that reads Internet Explorer.
  • Wait for the window browser to load. From the quick access tool bar placed on top of the window, select the Tools option. From the drop down, select the label that reads Internet Options.
  • This will launch the Internet Options window. From the Internet Options Window, select the Security tab and highlight the Restricted Sites.
  • Move the mouse pointer and click on the address bar. Enter the web page that you want to visit. Delete the text in the address bar field. Enter the address of the page that you want to visit, e.g. http://rad.msn.com. Navigate to the webpage. The address http://rad.msn.com is responsible for sending advertisements to Windows Live Messenger. Set the access to stop the ads from appearing in the application.
  • Click on the Add option, and then the OK button, to save the preferences. Close the tabs.
  • Re-launch the Windows Live messenger application. The ads will now get replaced with the Windows Live Messenger banner.
