- Open Google Chrome and click on the Customize and Control Google Chrome option, followed by Tools. Now, click on Extensions.
- From the extension list, check for the WhiteSmoke toolbar, highlight it, and deselect the Enable option. Now, click on the x option to remove it. Click OK.
- Now, click on Customize and Control Google Chrome, followed by Settings, to erase the conduit search engine. Now, click on the Manage search engines option on the Search section of the Settings menu.
- You would be able to see a list of search engines wherein the conduit search engine would be set as default. Here, you can set Google as the search, and then highlight the Conduit search engine, and click x. Now, click OK to save the changes.
- In the next step, you need to click the Customize and Control Google Chrome option, followed by Settings to remove the conduit search page, and reset the homepage. Here, check for the On startup area, and click the set page. This would help you to reset the startup page to Google.
- You can also clear the browsing data, by clicking the Customize and Control Google Chrome icon, History and then Clear all browsing data. You can now select the browsing data you would like to clear. Now, click Clear the browsing data.
- Once you have completed WhiteSmoke toolbar removal procedure, close Google Chrome, and then restart it.
